Surat, May 28, 2017. Ten experienced bikers of the Surat Super Bikers Club have successfully undertaken and completed a grueling 11 day motorcycle tour of 2,510-km in Russia. The tour is being organised to promote Indo-Russian friendship and in the memory of Afnazi Nikitin, the first Russian to travel to India way back in 1418.
According to Rahul Sharma of the Surat Super Bikers Club, the Russian Tourism Ministry took the initiative and invited 10 members of the club to visit Russia. The ride, GNN learns will spread more awareness about Indian culture in Russia and vice-a-versa also.
The 2,510-km long ride was a friendship ride with locals welcoming the 10 Indian bikers at road halts and night stays. Many knew a bit about Bollywood movies and welcomed the bikers with Hindi film songs like - Jimmy Jimmy Aaja - and remembered Mithun Chakraborty. Older people recollected even Raj Kapoor.
The group with local riders started from Crimea's city Simferopol to Sevastopol after landing in Moscow on May 7. After participating in Victory Day parade, they moved to Balaklava with local rider group named Night Wolf.
