Gujarat Govt to construct railway over-bridges and under-bridges

Gandhinagar, Feb 1, 2020: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has approved a huge Rs757.37cr ($107m) budget to construct a total of 26 railway bridges -- 16 over-bridges and 10 under-bridges in 20 municipalities in Gujarat. Rupani who is known to be constantly concerned about ensuring all facilities to the people wants to provide a hassle-free life to all the citizens.
GNN learns one over-bridge each will come up at Okha, Palitana, Patan, Talod, Visnagar, Karamsad, Umreth and Bardoli towns. Two over-bridges each will come up in Veraval, Himmatnagar, Anand and Petlad.
Of the total 10 railway bridges, one railway bridge each will come up in Sikka, Nadiad, Bopal-Ghuma, Una, Keshod, Deesa, Petlad and Vyara. Two railway under-bridges will be constructed at Gandhidham.
All these 26 bridges will be set up under the ‘Swarnim Anniversary of Chief Minister Urban Development Scheme.’
The CM has not only approved under-bridges and over-bridges under the said scheme, but has also approved Rs54.51cr ($8m) for other infrastructure development projects in Surendranagar, Bhachau and Junagadh.
The CM has also sanctioned Rs42.50cr ($6m) for a flyover connecting Junction Circle Dam Road to the Helipad in Surendranagar town. A subway connecting Surendranagar Gate and Jorawar Nagar railway station will be built at a cost of Rs6.53cr ($920,000).
